Module Description

Infection Control Session 1 :

This module gives an insight into the epidemiology and types of healthcare-associated infections (HCAIs). It goes on to describe in detail two of the basic principles of infection control: optimum hand hygiene and using personal protective equipment (PPE).

Infection Control Session 2 :

Module 2 of the Infection Control series discusses the importance of respiratory hygiene and cough etiquette in preventing infections. In addition, the importance of a clean hospital and proper healthcare waste management in preventing infections is also covered in this module

Infection Control Session 3 :

The final module of the Infection Control series discusses the appropriate handling of indwelling devices. In addition, this module also covers the management of blood and body fluid spillage and the management of occupational exposure to blood-borne viruses.
